Are you new to Lifewave? Unsure how to get started? Overwhelmed? What patch to start with? How often to wear the patches and for how long? And other tips you didn't even think to ask. No worries, we’ve got you! As a Lifewave Brand Partner and customer, I had all the same questions. Below you will find 6 tips to help you get the most out of your first few months using Lifewave patches.
Tip #1 - Which Lifewave Patch Do I Start With?
Well that’s an easy question to answer, always start with X39. Why X39 you might ask? X39 elevates GHK-Cu peptide, activates stem cells for repair & regeneration, supports rapid pain relief, reduces inflammation, supports faster wound healing, improves skin appearance, increases energy & vitality, increases mental clarity, enhances sports performance & faster recovery. Some people experience results within 1 - 7 days. That, my friends, is a lot packed into one little patch!
Most experience results within 30 days. Know that within 24 hours the X39 patch starts restoring 4,000 genes to a younger, healthier state. You can find all of those benefits in one tiny patch the size of a sticker or band aid. Lifewave patches are an amazingly sophisticated, cutting edge, smart phototherapy technology!
You want to be able to feel and track your body's response to patching, so let’s keep it simple and start with just one patch, the X39 Patch. It is important to get a baseline for your body. If you start with too many patches at once, you can kick into a rapid and intense detox phase because you are introducing too much repair at one time.
Also, you won't have any idea how the introduction of each patch makes you feel if you are an over achiever or are too darned elated and just want to start all the patches immediately. When I first got my patches, I was so excited and wanted to put them all on at once. I would have too, if I had not been strongly advised against it.
Stick with just X39 daily, 12 hours on and 12 hours off for 4 to 7 days. Some people may even want to wait a few weeks to a month before introducing any other patches. I’m fairly in tune with my body, so I was able to introduce a second patch on day 5. Be mindful that wearing the patches more than 12 hours or wearing multiple of the same patch does not increase efficacy. (For clarification, protocols can be found to aid in recovery for specific issues that may suggest using multiple of the same patch to target a specific area for less pain and faster recovery.}
To help you make Lifewave patching part of your daily habit, leave patches somewhere easy to remember, by your toothbrush or next to your morning coffee set up. Do not leave your patches out in the heat for an extended period of time as heat will activate the patches. Also, do not keep your patch sleeves (the envelope your patches come in) right next to you during sleep to ensure you do not activate the unused patches in the sleeve with your body heat.
Tip #2 - Take a Picture on Day One of Patching
You will be amazed at the changes over time that go unnoticed if we don’t document them. People have noticed a reduction in fine lines, wrinkles, under eye bags, reduction in scars and sun spots, as well as, smoothing of the skin in the decolletage area to a more youthful looking state. If you plan on wearing the patches one month for every decade you are old, set a reminder in your calendar and take a picture monthly. You’ll be amazed at the results as you progress in your Lifewave journey!

Many people have experienced hair growth, me included. My stylist even commented that my hair was growing in. Of course, I told her about Lifewave Patches being the culprit.

I have seen several testimonies of people who have sparkling wisdom in their hair (some people refer to that as gray hair 🙂), who start to notice that their hair is reverting back to its original color. I’m talking about people in their 60’s and 70’s!!
Tip #3 - Use The Lifewave Health Tracker
Sometimes we focus on one area to heal or change and forget to notice all the other areas that are improving. Using the Health Tracker to track improvements helps us discover all the areas that Lifewave Patches are improving our quality of life.
Someone may start Lifewave Patches for a specific reason, like knee pain. Over time, as the knee heals, the person may not have noticed a decrease in anxiety, that sleep quality and duration has improved, an overall sense of general well being, less overall inflammation and pain in the body, more energy, etc.

Tip #4 - Hydrate Hydrate Hydrate!
Some estimates suggest that up to 75% of adults may be chronically dehydrated. That doesn’t mean that 75% of the people are walking around severely dehydrated, but simply aren’t taking in enough water in any given day to help the body optimally function. Water is a vital nutrient for every cell in the body and acts as a building material for cells and organs. Water also helps the body dissolve minerals and nutrients, making the mineral and nutrients accessible for use by the body.
Lifewave patches help the body create or increase peptides, amino acids and antioxidants. The Lifewave patches can not work optimally when the body doesn’t have enough water to integrate these peptides, amino acids and antioxidants.
Also, when the patches are working to heal the body, the body needs to detox old, necrotic cells. The detox process also requires the body to maintain optimal hydration so your body can flush these toxins out. You can help speed up the detox process and make the process a little less uncomfortable by increasing your water intake. A general suggestion for optimal hydration is to drink ½ oz of water per pound of body weight. Ex: 150lbs = 75oz or 2.2 liters minimum.
“Adequate daily fluid intake (from all beverages and foods) is about 3.7 liters (15.5 cups) for men and 2.7 liters (11.5 cups) for women. This recommendation includes water obtained from drinking water, other beverages, and water-rich foods like fruits and vegetables, which contribute about 20% of total water intake.” The U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine
Tip #5 - Detoxing
Speaking of detox, as the body starts producing the new stem cells, peptides, amino acids and antioxidants after using the patches, it is not uncommon for some people to experience detox symptoms as the body begins to heal and rid itself of toxins, oxidants and unhealthy substances. Common detox symptoms may include headaches, fatigue, mood swings, irritability, muscle aches, difficulty sleeping, and changes in bowel movements.
If you are experiencing detox symptoms from a particular patch, take the patch off. Start the next day by wearing the patch a decreased amount of time. Ex; if you are wearing the Glutathione patch for 12 hours and experience detox symptoms, take the patch off and try wearing the patch for 4 hours the next day to see how you do. Then you can slowly and comfortably build your wear time up over several days, to be able to wear the patch for the full 12 hours. Slow and steady wins the race.
If you break out on the skin when you wear the patch from the adhesive, you can wear the patch on the inside of your clothing or use surgical tape to adhere the patch to the skin. No worries, your infrared light or body heat will still activate the patch.
Tip #6 - Unrealistic Expectations
You may not feel the changes overnight or the first week. It took your entire lifetime to collect the constellation of symptoms you are experiencing, don’t expect to heal these symptoms over night.
As we age, our production of stem cells decreases and our current stem cells go dormant. Per David Schmidt, inventor of Lifewave, for best results, you need to use patches (primarily X39) for one month for every decade you are old. Ex; if you are 55, you would need to wear the X39 patch for 5 ½ months to give the body time to activate stem cells and begin to see significant repair in the body.
Consistency is KEY! Consistently patching is the key to activating dormant stem cells. Be consistent and patch everyday. Many people quit before they have seen results because they have not been consistent in patching daily. Daily patching leads to repair, monthly patching leads to restoration!
